1. ​​Government maintains existing social distancing measures

Having assessed the latest epidemic trend, the Government announced that the existing social distancing measures which are set to expire on November 30 will be maintained until December 14.

2. Bookings for vaccination with BioNTech bivalent vaccine opens to eligible persons

Eligible persons aged 12 or above may choose to receive the BioNTech bivalent vaccine from December 1, and online reservations has opened from November 27.

3. DH's Maternal and Child Health Centres and Student Health Service Centres to further facilitate COVID-19 vaccination for toddlers and children

The Department of Health (DH) said that its Maternal and Child Health Centres (MCHCs) and Student Health Service Centres (SHSCs) will enhance the vaccination services of BioNTech and Sinovac to further facilitate COVID-19 vaccination for toddlers and children.

4. Government launches new round of outreach vaccination service's special programme for residential care homes

In view of the recent volatile COVID-19 epidemic situation, as well as the impending winter surge of influenza, the Government launched a new round of outreach vaccination service special programme for residential care homes (RCHs) to strengthen the targeted protection for RCHs for the elderly and persons with disabilities. The special programme commenced and will last for four weeks. Medical teams will be arranged to visit RCHs at least once a week to provide the outreach vaccination service, with a view to administering vaccines to every resident who is due to get vaccinated as soon as possible, in particular the fourth dose as a booster dose. The seasonal influenza vaccination (SIV) will also be provided to residents at the same time to attain dual protection.

5. Outreach COVID-19 vaccination and publicity team to hold parent-child carnival in shopping mall

The outreach COVID-19 vaccination and publicity team will go to a shopping mall on December 3 to encourage more members of the public to bring their children and family members to receive COVID-19 vaccination.
