1. Government appeals to members of public to receive COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with Vaccine Pass requirements

The Government reminded members of the public that the third stage of the Vaccine Pass will commence on May 31. By then all members of the public aged 12 or above, except those who obtained the COVID-19 Vaccination Medical Exemption Certificate, are required to receive COVID-19 vaccination according to the following requirements in order to comply with the requirement under the Vaccine Pass.

2. Education Bureau announces latest anti-epidemic measures for schools

In view of the latest developments of the epidemic and the recent further relaxation of social distancing measures by the Government, the Education Bureau (EDB) announced the updated arrangements of anti-epidemic measures in schools, including the relaxation arrangements for school activities.

3. Government announces relaunch of online platform for declaration of non-local vaccination records

The Government announced that the online platform for declaration of non-local vaccination records (https://www.chp.gov.hk/vac-df/) would be relaunched on May 20. The online platform provides an additional channel for declaring non-local vaccination records apart from boundary control points and designated post offices.

4. Government updates list of places of recognised vaccination records

The Government announced that it would accept the vaccination records issued by Ecuador, Kenya, Seychelles and Venezuela as recognised vaccination records for persons arriving at Hong Kong who have stayed in overseas places. The relevant arrangements take effect at 0.00am on May 18. The Government also reminds persons travelling to Hong Kong that the COVID-19 testing certificates under the EU Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC) mechanism can serve as a documentary proof for pre-boarding nucleic acid tests.

5. Six more designated quarantine hotels enlisted

The Government announced the addition of six designated quarantine hotels (DQHs). These six hotels will start accepting room bookings from this week and commence service from late May onwards. They are expected to provide about 2 000 additional rooms.
