Government to gazette compulsory testing notice (Boarding facility at Unit 1C, Fung Nin Building, Tai Po)

The Government has exercised the power under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing for Certain Persons) Regulation (Cap. 599J) and published in the Gazette a compulsory testing notice. Any person who had been present at a boarding facility at Unit 1C, Fung Nin Building, 28-32 Tai Wing Lane, Tai Po, for more than two hours at any time during the period from November 15 to December 15, 2020 (including but not limited to visitors, residents and workers) is required to undergo a COVID-19 nucleic acid test by December 20.

Persons who are subject to testing may choose testing routes (1) to (5) below. They must report the result of the test or submit the test report to the Government by phone (6275 6901), fax (2530 5872) or email (ct@csb.gov.hk) by December 23. If persons who are subject to compulsory testing have previously undergone the above mentioned test between December 11 and December 15, they would be taken to have complied with the requirements set out in the compulsory testing notice. Testing routes for persons subject to compulsory testing:

1.        To obtain a deep throat saliva specimen collection pack from any of the designated post offices, vending machines set up at MTR stations or 47 designated general outpatient clinics (GOPCs) of the Hospital Authority (see the distribution points and time, and the specimen collection points and time at www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/early-testing.html);

2.        To self-arrange testing provided by private laboratories recognised by the Department of Health (see the list at www.coronavirus.gov.hk/pdf/List_of_recognised_laboratories_RTPCR.pdf);

3.        To attend any Community Testing Centres (see the list at www.communitytest.gov.hk/en/);

4.        To visit any mobile specimen collection stations (see the list at www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/early-testing.html);

5.        To undergo testing at any healthcare facilities of the Hospital Authority (including GOPCs and accident and emergency departments) as instructed by a medical professional of the Hospital Authority.
